Blow Up – Sep 15

BLOW UP is a physical and visual exploration of immigration, uprooting, and the pressure of success-driven culture. Bodies negotiate an unstable environment of inflatable structures, moving between control and collapse, individuality and assimilation, aspiration and failure. Developed through 10 days of rehearsal process with UMich dance students and alumni, this showing offers a glimpse into the project’s evolving choreographic world.
